In My Mailbox #2

Hello again! Now for my second In My Mailbox post ever! Yay! IMM is a wonderful meme in which bloggers post about the books they have gotten that week via mail/bookstore/library and it is hosted by Story Siren at her great blog. For more information, look here.  So, without further ado, here are my 'mailbox' books for this past week:

From the library:

Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken
Forget-Her-Nots by Amy Brecount White
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
The God Box by Alex Sanchez

In the mail:

Olivia by Ian Falconer

The library books are to be read and then reviewed here, for both personal interest and for the GLBT Challenge and the Debut Authors Challenge.  Olivia is the last book I've gotten for my Children's Resources class.

Meanwhile, coming up this week on the blog: my Mockingjay review (finally!) as well as reviews of both Devilish and No and Me.  And hopefully at least one other review, of one of the books above!

  2. You checked out some good books. I loved Uglies, hope you do too! It's a bit slow in the beginning, but get past that and it's brilliant.

I'm a new follower. Good luck!

  3. Uglies is one of the best books that I have ever read. I really hope that you enoy it! The entire series is fantastic too... minus the slightly horrible "fourth" in the trilogy.

  9. Oh man! I've wanted to read Brightly Woven for so long now! I absolutely love the cover!!

I had checked "Uglies" out at the library at one point but I had fifteen books that week! So I didn't get around to reading it before I had to return it.

Oooo!!! I can't wait to see what you think of Devilish. The one by Maureen Johnson, right? I've seen it at my library dozens of times but haven't checked it out yet.

Great books this week! Happy reading!

  10. I'm excited for your review of No and Me. I've seen it around and think it sounds good - very different from a lot of stuff, perhaps because it wasn't originally a US pub.
